Molecular structure

BPC-157 is a 15-residue linear peptide, whereas thymosin beta-4 is a 43-residue peptide with a different sequence, molecular mass, and conformational behavior. They remain separate molecules when combined.

Each component has its own molecular formula, molar concentration, charge distribution, and chemical stability. The total mass of the mixture is the sum of the masses of its constituents and any other included material.

Physicochemical properties

The properties of the mixture depend on the component ratio, solvent, pH, ionic strength, and possible interactions between the peptides. Mixing two peptides does not automatically create a stable molecular complex or a new covalent compound.

Biochemical mechanisms
