Molecular structure

GLP3-R is a modified peptide designed to interact with three related receptors: the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR), glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R), and glucagon receptor (GCGR).

Its primary sequence and chemical modifications determine the molecular surface recognized by these receptors. As with other modified peptides, individual substitutions and attached chemical groups can influence receptor affinity, conformational preferences, stability, and binding to other molecules.
